Today's film features an adventurer/pirate Geoffrey Thorpe (Flynn) who is hired by Queen Elizabeth I to pirate the Spanish ships for the good of England. In one battle, he discovers Dona Maria (Marshall), a Spanish princess. She resists Geoffrey's pirating ways and it becomes clear that he will have to make a choice-give up the adventuring life he loves and win the love of Dona Maria, or keep his life and lose his love.
This black and white 1940 film is not rated and runs for 127 minutes.

The Marshall District Library is located at 124 West Green Street. For more information call 781-7821, ext. 10 or visit our website at www.marshalldistrictlibrary.org.
