Marshall District Library’s “Midday Matinee” will be held on November 4, at 12:00 noon. This is a free program open to all adult patrons.
Patrons are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch; beverages will be provided. No registration is required for this free movie presentation.
Today's film features an adventurer/pirate Geoffrey Thorpe (Flynn) who is hired by Queen Elizabeth I to pirate the Spanish ships for the good of England. In one battle, he discovers Dona Maria (Marshall), a Spanish princess. She resists Geoffrey's pirating ways and it becomes clear that he will have to make a choice-give up the adventuring life he loves and win the love of Dona Maria, or keep his life and lose his love.
This black and white 1940 film is not rated and runs for 127 minutes.
